Get money from referral link shortener

Internet Marketing Strategies For Affiliate Links Affiliate marketing can be a frickin' awesome way to make money online... I absolutely think it is a great way to start. But a lot of people are confused about affiliate links... so here are some internet marketing strategies for using them. Affiliate links can be downright ugly When you join affiliate network sites and choose products to promote, you'll be given a unique link. This is called your affiliate link... it is used to track the people who buy, and show that they came from you. It is critical that you use this link rather than sending people directly to the product website-at least if you want to get paid, it is! So rather than sending people directly to www WebSite. com, you might be given a link that looks something like this: www WebSite. or some other long, confusing, ugly-or just plain weird looking-link. The characters after the. com/ is really your affiliate link... and if it gets left off you won't get credit for the sale... it is what allows the product creator or affiliate network to distinguish your sales from the sales of everyone else promoting the same product.

So they are important... but can make some people uneasy. Some people who aren't familiar with affiliate marketing might be confused... and even lop of everything after the. com thinking it isn't important. Which of course it isn't-to them... just to you! You can get around the funky links in a couple of ways... all of which are basically ways of disguising that you are using an affiliate link. Domain name redirects The first way to get around the affiliate link is to get your own domain name. Now before you go out and buy this great domain name that is similar to the product name check out the terms of service... make sure you don't spend money on a name that you can't use. Some companies and marketers will let you use their name as part of yours and others absolutely will not.

Done correctly, the URL you are using is short and clean... and it is subtle enough that the user won't be confused. The disadvantage is you have to buy the domain name and you go through the process of redirecting it. Link shorteners Another way to get around long, funny links is by using a link shortener. A link shortener is software that compresses the URL to a much shorter on-it gives you a small string of characters. What you have done in essence is changed a long weird URL to a short weird URL. The main advantage for shorteners is when you need to save space... like on Twitter for example.

Link cloaker Finally, you can use a link cloaker... they differ from shorteners in that to the reader it looks like you are being directly right to the website for the product. The cloaker is software that literally hides the fact you are using an affiliate link... the affiliate code is there, but it is hidden, or cloaked, from view. The bottom line is that affiliate links are an ugly necessity... but if you apply one of these internet marketing strategies to your affiliate links you can make sure that you protect your commissions and also help your buyer feel more confident in the process.
